"SCAT", "SCATTERHEAD", "THE DIMMED HUE OF SCATTERHEAD", all of these alterations of the name are a combination of 9 months of my life. my goal making this album was not only to go left of my instincts, prove that I am the next musical genius, but also to be as open as possible and say whatever I want/felt. throughout jan-april, i spent a lot of time experimenting, listening to new and more music, and living my life open-minded to ideas. i also was going through the most introspective period of my life so far. Thinking critically about what i like/don't like. who i am. and it also became a slightly dark time when you think so deeply about yourself. but after april, i found the album's sound and direction through those same thinking processes. 

The pixelated feel is from my experimenting with bit-crush on my voice. I felt that it gave a unique distortion that i haven't heard or used myself. the production is inspired from kanye, stereolab, sampling older music, and literally everything i was listening to during the creative process. trip hop, alt music from the 90's and 00's, n.e.r.d, bossa nova, rappers like mike and el cousteau, myself, and life most importantly. 

every album I learn multiple lessons. and through the questionable lyrics, distorted 808's, alternative melodies, and tight flows, I learned that things come and go. And I should always be my unapologetic self during each album and to go off feeling and be precise about how the feeling is communicated to the audience. 

i hope anyone that listens not enjoys the music, but the artist that are like me to study this and apply where you see fit. 

IMO, this is my most thoughtout and clearest direction for any album of mine
